Swingers rate themselves happier (59% against 32% very happy) and their lives much more exciting (76% against 54% exciting) than does the rest of the population, by surprisingly large margins. There was no difference between the responses of men and women.

 The study was carried out in 2000 by a private Catholic university in the USA.

Types Of Swinging

Although swinging is generally thought of as occurring among couples, there are a number of swinging activities that may include (but are not limited to):

No Swinging In Our Town

A controversial social club that advertised on swingers web sites had its zoning application rejected by Emmaus, LeHigh County in Pennsylvania. Hundreds packed a meeting to hear the zoning hearing board's decision.

A tourist in north Queenslan.Australia who refused to take his clothes off at a swinger sex party has been blamed for "a mini-riot" at the nudist colony.

Police were called due to threats of violence and lewd behavior and ordered the Brisbane man and his wife from the adults-only "anything goes" sex party.

The owner said the "mini-riot" erupted when four naked female guests protested when confronted by the fully-clothed man. "They felt uncomfortable with him eyeing them off and I asked him to show some respect and take his clothes off," said the nudist colony manager.

A Chinese twice-divorced computer science professor has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison for being a member of clubs that practiced group sex and partner swapping.. He also supposedly organized and engaged in at least 18 orgies, most of them in the two-bedroom apartment in Nanjing where he lived with his mother. The sentence of three and a half years in prison is a severe penalty for a crime that the Chinese government calls “crowd licentiousness.”
